Our Story

A Family Legacy, Seasoned with Soul

Favorine’s Flavor of Soul was created in honor of my mother, Favorine—a Louisiana woman whose love was felt in every meal she prepared.

Her name was inspired by the word favorite, and to me, it fits her perfectly. She had a gift for making people feel cared for, welcomed, and connected through food. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in the kitchen and watching her cook. I watched how she seasoned, stirred, tasted, and created meals from the heart.

By the time I was about 11 or 12 years old, I had prepared my first pan of food. I was not supposed to be using the gas stove, so I got in trouble—but my mother also recognized the love I had for cooking. She allowed me to learn, grow, and develop the gift she had passed down to me.

One of the lessons she always shared was simple:

“It’s all in the wrist.”

I lost my mother when I was 14 years old. Losing her at such a young age changed my life, but the memories we created in the kitchen never left me. The lessons, flavors, and traditions she gave me remained in my heart and in my hands.

Favorine’s Flavor of Soul is my way of honoring her memory while sharing the love of cooking she placed inside me. Through soulful dishes, bold seasonings, family recipes, and Louisiana-inspired flavors, I am continuing the legacy she began.

This brand is about more than food. It is about family, heritage, love, and the memories created around the table.

Every meal I prepare and every seasoning I create carries a piece of her story.

Made with love. Seasoned with soul. And just like Mama Favorine taught me—it’s all in the wrist.
